The 8th annual Undergraduate Expo takes place on April 16, 2009 in Michigan Tech’s Memorial Union Building. The Expo is truly a showcase of ‘education in action’ here at Michigan Tech. Discovery-based learning, interdisciplinary teamwork, design and innovation, leadership and entrepreneurship, research, working with industry…you’ll experience it all first-hand in the 100+ projects on display. Student teams from our Enterprise, Senior Design, and Undergraduate Research programs will be on-hand to present the fruits of their labor.

This year, we highlight the continued expansion of Enterprise beyond our campus boundaries, with the participation of four Enterprise teams from Universidad del Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico: EMCO (The Energy Management Company); Innovatronics Engineering Group; BIOGEN; and EVOLIFE Medical Solutions. Additionally, for the second year, we extend a special welcome to five visiting High School Enterprise teams–the latest evolution of our signature Enterprise program.

The Expo is open to all. Industry guests, project sponsors and partners, the local community, and Michigan Tech faculty, staff, and students are all invited to attend. Come and explore the breadth and depth of undergraduate project work. See the benefits of industry and academia working together as partners in higher education. Interact with our students, listen to their problem solving and decision making approaches, and give them feedback and encouragement.
