All teams (Enterprise and Senior Design) must register for the Undergraduate Expo
on or before Friday, February 1, 2013.

HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS REGISTRATION

SENIOR DESIGN

Posters
Each Senior Design team displays a poster at the Undergraduate Expo. At least one team member should be present at all times during the Expo to explain and elaborate to judges and guests. A sample judging form can be found at Poster Judging Form (2012)
This sample judging form is provided for you to see what criteria are used to judge your posters.

Presentations
Note: Many Senior Design teams also give formal presentations on their projects within their own academic departments. These presentations do not take place at the Undergraduate Expo. Please check with your department for more information.

Instructions
Before you register, please review these instructions carefully for information on poster criteria, project image submission requirements, and sponsor logo submission requirements.

Senior Design Registration

Image Contest Submission - Deadline is March 1
All teams are required to submit one project-related image (photo or non-photo graphic) when registering for the Expo. This image will be used in the Undergraduate Expo booklet, and entered into the Expo Image Contest. Click here to submit up to five additional photos to the contest, or to send an updated image for the Expo booklet.

ENTERPRISE

Posters
Each Enterprise team displays a poster at the Undergraduate Expo. At least one team member should be present at all times during the Expo to explain and elaborate to judges and guests. A sample Poster Judging form (2012) provided for you to see what criteria are used to judge the projects.

Presentations
Throughout the Expo day, Enterprise presentation sessions will be scheduled in the morning and afternoon. Your Enterprise team will be scheduled to present during one of these sessions. Three to five Enterprise teams will present during each session.

Important note: All team members taking part in the presentation are required to remain in the room throughout your scheduled session. Teams may leave only after the session is over and all teams have finished.

A laptop, screen, and projector are provided for each presentation room. All team members must be in their scheduled presentation room 5 minutes prior to the start of the session. This allows for time to install your team’s presentation onto the laptop provided.

Each presentation should be 10 minutes long. Three minutes for Q&A will occur after your team has finished presenting.

A Presentation Judging form (2011) is provided for you to see what criteria are used to judge the presentations.

EXPO INFORMATION

HOURS
The Undergraduate Expo hours are Thursday, April 18 from 8 am - 3 pm.  The Expo will take place in the J. ROBERT VAN PELT AND JOHN AND RUANNE OPIE LIBRARY, 3rd floor. Please pick up your name tags at the registration table when you arrive. Judging will begin promptly at 8 am.

SET-UP
Set-up is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17th from 4-6 pm in the J. ROBERT VAN PELT AND JOHN AND RUANNE OPIE LIBRARY, 3rd floor. When arriving, please check in at the registration table for your table assignment. Posters must be mounted to a poster board of some sort and able to self-support on a table top or easel (easels will NOT be provided). We will do our best to accommodate all space and equipment requests, but supplies are limited and will be provided based on the order in which the teams registered. If you have requested access to power, we will do our best to position your poster near an outlet. Teams are required to bring their own extension cords.

TEAR-DOWN
Tear-down will start at 3 pm on April 18. Posters and all other materials will need to be removed from the Library no later than 4 pm.

Note: The schedule has not been determined yet. Please check back in April to view the specific schedule for Enterprise Team presentations, Senior Design and Enterprise poster judging, and Expo results.
